Royal Sky City Airline Company Limited trading as Sky City. The company which is registered under the law of The Gambia is currently in talks with the Gambian Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) to have an Air Operators Certificate (AOC) to operate regular flights from Gambia, and connecting regional and intra-continental routs, Sky City which is a start-up airline will provide flight and cargo delivery services and carry out any other aviation-related activities including but not limited to ground handling.

Until suspension of Gambia Bird’s operations in 2008 which at the time was the national carrier, Gambia Bird was privileged to be the preferred airline carrier for many Gambians and other nationals; and it is on this basis that Sky City intends to rebuild the trust and loyalty of old and potential clients as it Begins operations in 2018 with flights from Banjul to the rest of the West African communities.

The company further intends to introduce flights to Barcelona, London Gatwick, Rome-Italy, Germany-Hamburg via Dusseldorf, Paris-Charles De Gaulle etc. within a year of starting up the West African route, and in the next three years introduce intercontinental routes to America, Cancun-Mexico, and also connect to the golf countries via Dubai World Central (Al Maktoum International Airport). The company is also open to code-sharing negotiations with other reputable airline companies for some of its routes. Sky City aims at connecting Gambia and the rest of Africa to the world by air; which will further facilitate the economic growth of the continent.
